Many other spectroradiometers are sold by other manufactures, but those
spectroradiometers were not welcomed so much because they had many points
to be improved. Their measurement time was long, they are not all-weather
type and their price was too expensive. So, EKO developed the Spectroradiometers,
which enable all mentioned below.
- Short measurement time
- Continuous outdoor measurement
- Reasonable price

MS-700 is the all weather grating spectroradiometer for the continuous
outdoor use.
The spectral range of MS-700 is widely 350-1050nm, and attached software
automatically calculate PAR(Photosynthetic Active Radiation, W/m²),
Photon(µmol·m-2·s-1) and Lux(lux).
MS-700 is appropriate for the observation/research of radiation/aerosols,
investigation/research of vegetation/ocean color etc. |

|
| MS-701 is the all weather grating spectroradiometer for the continuous
outdoor use. The spectral range of MS-701 is 300-400nm, which cover
the UV(Ultraviolet) range, and the attached software automatically
calculate UV-A and UV-B. MS-701 is appropriate for the exposure test
of building materials/paints, and the research of harmful influence
of UV against human body. |

MS-720 is the portable grating spectroradiometer is powered by batteries,
and stand-alone instruments having on-board LCD. Therefore, MS-720
is suitable for the outdoor field research of spectral radiation.
The optional GPS unit enable to specify the precise location of MS-720.
The internal memory of MS-720 save the obtained spectral data up to
800.
MS-720 is suitable for the ground truth of satellite/airborne remote
sensing data, and spectral measurement of the range from visible to
near infrared radiation.
Obtained data can be downloaded to PC through RS232C or USB, and processed

LS-100 is the portable spectroradiometer, which spectrometer and
the detector part are connected through fiber optics. LS-100 is
for the indoor use, LS-100 suitable for the evaluation of the artificial
light source such as solar simulator, and various researches.
LS-100 software has the automatic monitoring function of spectral
match between the solar simulator and JIS provided value.

Calibration
The calibration of EKO Spectroradiometers are performed with comparing
to the EKO Reference instrument under the natural sun light. EKO Reference
instrument is NIST traceable

EKO Spectroradiometer
ZEISS MMS spectrometer is built in the EKO Spectroradiometer. This ZEISS
spectrometer consists of the Grating and the Silicon photodiode (linear
array sensor), and the optical parts are designed to be blocked out from
the air. Therefore, the measurement time is only less than 5 seconds,
and the measurement conditions hardly influence the measurement results.

Pyranometer and Spectroradiometer
Spectral measurement means the measurement of spectral irradiance (radio
wave) emitted from the specified objects. Pyranometer measures the total
solar irradiance in the wavelength of solar radiation, but the Spectroradiometer
measures the solar irradiance of each wavelength of solar radiation.
|
Pyranometer measures the total solar irradiance according
to the integration of the spectral irradiance curve.
I=∫I(λ)dλ (W·m-2)
(The blue part in the right graph)
|
 |
|
Spectroradiometer measures the solar irradiance of each
wavelength.
I(λ) (W·m-2·µ·m-1)
(The red line = Spectral irradiance curve)

Spectral data
Spectral data mean the solar irradiance of each wavelength, so those
data can be used for the various data processing according to the necessary
spectral range. For instance, you can calculate the integral value of
UV-A/B and PAR in the specified range as well as the Photon and Lux based
on the convolution integral value according to the specified action spectrum.
